Thin film deposition technologies
To develop, design, and manufacture thin film growth systems using technology developed in the
high temperature superconductor industry.
Technology is based on a reactive co-evaporation technique in which metals are deposited at high
temperature on a substrate in one zone, then moved to a separate zone where the growing film is
reacted. Substrates generally cycle between the zones at between 1 to 10 Hz.
